My Creed by Charlotte Ord

Below is a link to a video that a fellow CrossFitter from London sent me. Her name is Charlotte Ord and I found the video to be quite inspiring as well as thought provoking. I would love to hear your comments on the video. Plus after the last week or so of kick ass workouts, I thought we could all use something that might help us refocus and re-energize! My Creed!

Thanks for posting the video. I think this video defines us all. I’ll speak for myself when I admit that I let fear shadow my courage; I let others determine how I’m supposed to feel; I’m competitive so I want to outdo others instead of just trying to surpass myself; I sometimes treat others the way I would NOT want to be treated;….I could go on and on :-(

What I do practice is being thankful and acknowledging life is too short. I just recently convinced myself to be happy with who I am...and can I tell you it has made a huge difference. I have recently discovered that life is more fun when you create your own happiness….you don’t wait for someone else to make you happy…..that could be a long wait :-o

I could address each slide from the video, but we would be here all day ;-)

I will plagiarize b/c I can’t remember who said this….but I like it….” Live today like you’ll die tomorrow”. This world would be a better place if we lived up to half our potential. It takes more energy to hate than it does to love….Why is it we always choose to do things the hard way?

Thanks Charlotte for reminding us that we CAN make a difference and thanks Chris for posting it :-)
